The Punisher What’s it about: Based on the comic book of the same name, players are thrust into the boots of the Punisher AKA Frank Castle who becomes a vigilante of sorts after his family’s murdered by the mob. Determined to clean the streets up using his own twisted brand of justice, he embarks on a journey of revenge and retribution. Why the controversy: The Punisher isn’t the most pleasant man on the planet and developer Volition perfectly captured that very attitude with some of the most violent and over the top "Interrogation Techniques" he could pull off on unsuspecting enemies that included dunking someone's head first into a tank of piranhas, using a drill on someone’s face, sawing them in half using a mechanical table saw, thrusting people leg first into a wood chipper, burning people face first into a fireplace, shoving a grenade into their mouths watching their entire body burst, thrusting their heads through propeller blades, stabbing them in the eye and much more; definitely not something you would want to gift junior on his tenth birthday. |
