Bully What’s it about: Probably the only T (teen) rated game to enter this list, Bully is the story of a mischievous boy called Jimmy Hopkins as he strives to survive a whole year at Bullworth Academy, America’s toughest boarding school. Why the controversy: The fact that the game came from the Rockstar stable brought it straight onto the radar of parents; and unfortunately for Rockstar, people got the wrong impression of the game from the promos (they thought the game allowed you to bully other kids and make life hell for them, when in fact there are times when you stand up to bullies). If this wasn’t enough, Rockstar also added in some (optional) boy-on-boy action that lead to some discontent amongst parents. |
