Games of March 2010

March just got hotter with these sizzling titles.

And the games are... Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Xbox360 PS3 PC) If the multiplayer beta is any indication of the mayhem that lies ahead of us we’ll be playing BFBC2 online for a long time. Add to that an improved single player campaign and you have a shooter that could give Modern Warfare a run for its money. Metro 2033 (Xbox360 PC) Metro 2033 is kind of like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, only with a lot more spit and polish and player friendly mechanics. While S.T.A.L.K.E.R. focused more on atmosphere and tough gameplay (that really tested your patience at times), Metro 2033 seems content with its Jerry Bruckheimer-esqe approach to the whole post apocalyptic scenario. God of War 3 (PS3) There’s nothing I can say about this game except that it would probably be the best game ever made and if you don’t own a PS3 to play it, I say now would be the perfect time to buy one. Assassin’s Creed II (PC) Assassins’ Creed II was a mighty fine game improving on everything that was wrong with the first game and if you missed it the first time round, here’s your chance to grab the game. Be warned though; the game uses a new kind of DRM that requires players to remain connected to the internet at all times or it won’t save your progress. |
