Grudge Match Round 12: Duke Nukem Vs Mario

Yes! They CAN fight each other!

Wait! It sounds unrealistic and you’ll definitely try to kill me for this but there is an explanation. And it shall be after the�verdict of the previous showdown between Devil Jin and Sub Zero.�

While, the contest was tied with both fighters beating each other black and blue, there definitely had to be a winner. Sub Zero showed why�exactly Scorpion was more of a worthy opponent than Akuma, simply because Sub Zero was a lot quicker to freeze Devil Jin in time and then�kick his ice statue to pieces! Sub Zero wins and proceeds up the ladder.�

Coming back to today’s match, it will sound weird but you all are forgetting that Duke Nukem wasn’t a 3D boy when he started out! You�also know that Mario doesn’t remain in his 2D environment nowadays. So, taking both these things in perspective, we can match them up! Yeah,�Duke loves kicking alien ass, but he’s surely getting a problem when he faces this little guy growing with a single mushroom shooting after�eating flowers and stomping his enemies to a pancake. Who do you think can win? Duke or Mario… It’s a tough call, and it’s for you to vote.�

Duke Nukem

Age: Unknown but word around the block is that he’s in his mid thirties.
Place of Birth: USA
Height: �Unknown once again but if we were to guess we’d put him at around 6 and a half feet.
Physical Traits: He’s tough, he’s ripped and he loves his women. Clad in a red vest, blue jeans, black boots and dark glasses this is�one cigar chomping SoB who’s single handedly repelled an alien invasion.
Weapon of Choice – Anything and everything he can lay his hands.
Badass Factor – He’s fought off an intergalactic race not because he’s a humanitarian but because they were going to take all our�women away. And there’s nothing more badass than standing up for your women right?
Social Life: Strip shows are his kryptonite and that’s pretty much where he spends most of his free time.Trademark: Love for women, hatred for aliens, constant one liners and vocal homage to Clint Eastwood make him the undoubted “king” of�video games.

Mario (Super Mario Bros)

First Appearance: Donkey Kong (1981)
Place of Birth: Japan
Physical Traits: Dressed as a Plumber (though no one's ever spotted him fixing any sinks), Mario sports a friendly paunch that says�"I'm happy, but not necessarily an alcoholic". Plus there's that awesome moustache.
Weapon of Choice: Fireballs that he shoots out from the palms of his hand after eating a... flower. If nothing else works, he just�stomps his foes.
Badass Factor: He can kill just about anything by stomping it. Also considering how unfit he looks, he does do a lot of effortless�jumping.
Social Life: Lack of human chicks in the Mushroom Kingdom keeps the big guy monogamous with Princess Peach. But there must be some�real love there considering how often he has to rescue her from Bowser.
