Some of the best racing games for your phone to help you zoom out of boredom.

Stuck in traffic is where an average Mumbaikar would spend half of his life on this earth! It can be going to work, coming home from work, going for a movie/shopping, I mean its practically everywhere! And while our votes don’t make the “difference for a better city”, our hope only lies in the virtual world! For the Auto Week, we’ve thought of coming up with a few racing games that will help you to kill those wee hours in traffic or even otherwise are a lot of fun to play. There are games for different platforms from the iOS to the Android. So here are a few games that you can play to rest your nerves! Ferrari GT 2: Revolution One of the best-selling games from Gameloft for all platforms. It might not be the best looking amongst all racing games for mobile phones. Nevertheless it churns out some great racing adrenaline and the game itself is quite fast paced and is definitely worth a try. The very fact that you get to drive Ferrari cars that have been from 1957 to 2010 should sound like music to every racing enthusiast! Driver Exclusively for the iPhone, Driver is a racing game with a story, and for those who have watched The Fast and the Furious who would love to play an undercover cop who has to bust a crime ring! The game’s got good graphics like most iPhone games and has good stunts to try out. A good change from the usual race and win scenario. Asphalt 5 HD+ Android users need not be left behind because there is a game that’s exclusively for you also! Since Nokia had launched its N-Gage, Asphalt turned out to be one of the most loved racing games that could hit the mobile gaming platform. Ever since, the series is only doing well and the latest just seems to be breathtaking! Great graphics and new modes to play, people who have (or haven’t) played this game, need to get it! Pro Bike Racing For those who have had enough of car racing games and are more interested in the two-legged mean machines, Pro Bike racing gives you a taste of what professional bike racing is all about and some more of the Grand Prix. The graphics are pretty average but the game sure is cool enough to have on your phone. Also the fact that this game works for most platforms should make you go for it! Valentino Rossi’s gonna love this. Nitro Street Racing 2 Lastly, we come to a game that incorporates both bike and car racing in one game itself. Another one of those multi-platform racing games, with decent graphics but quite some fun because you have a different set of things to do every now and then. Perform stunts or escort VIP’s to earn your points. Go for it if you want something that has loads to offer on the fun factor! In this country of vehicle lovers, I am sure that there are many of you who have played games like NFS Undercover or Pro Street, but the problem is that we have tried to select games that are available on almost every platform that’s out there. So if you think there are better games or if you have played some game somewhere do let us know in our comments section below. |
