World's Most Expensive Gizmos

Ultrasone Edition 9 – Worlds most expensive headphones
German audio company Ultrasone developed what we can safely say are one of the world’s most expensive headphones. Wait headphones? For your ears? To listen to music? Oh man! But ok, on with the info. The headphones in question are called Edition 9 (Gee I wonder what Edition 10 will be like).

These headphones are handmade and are said to perform exceptionally well. Sophistication and beauty coupled with high technology are what place this set apart form the Bose and other such companies out there.

It comes with a carry case that is specifically built to store the headphones safely. The black chrome-plated earcups have the company insignia embedded on them and that’s made of chrome-plated brass, crafted in Bavaria. Awesome! The Earpads and head pad are made of soft genuine Ethiopian hair sheep leather in dark grey. It provides excellent isolation. So you can see they've gone all out.

The Edition 9 is also equipped with titanium-plated drivers and polished MU Metal shieldings for reduced magnetic field emissions. It also comes with a gold-plated adapter. Wow! I mean really, Wowee! Wowee! Wow! Can you just imagine the kind of sound quality and comfort we’re talking here? I mean, I don’t think they describe cars or planes in that fashion. Would I love to get my mitts on these. But priced at $1500 that’s about Rs. 65,000, I guess I’ll stick to my dream of buying a brand new bike instead.

One more bit of information I’d like to leave you with - The world’s most expensive phone number - Yes, a phone number was auctioned for charity in Qatar for 10 million Qatari riyals or 1.5 million and I'm sorry I refuse to convert it into INR. I don’t think my heart can stand any more. The number, for all you Curious Georges out there is '666 6666'. It was also called the world's most evil telephone number. Probably owned by some guy called Damian.

So what do you think? Which one of these fantastic products is next on your list? I'll leave you with that. Until next time.
