Our keyboards and mice feel lonely at times, they need a feature dedicated to them...

Your hands in the computer world are simply the keyboard and the mouse. Keyboards and mice are the most overlooked components when it comes to buying a PC today. This is strange given the fact that the only way a human being can even use a computer is because of these two magical devices. How many times a day do you open up your PC cabinet and fiddle with the processor or graphics card? Do these components make a Word document for you for college/office work? Do any of these devices navigate web pages for you? The answer is no.

Cars need steering wheels, gears, brakes, a clutch and an accelerator to take you where you want to go; otherwise a car is just one big engine. How can a good keyboard and/or a good mouse change your life? Well, you must know how comfortable you feel when you treat your computer. The position of the keyboard and mouse greatly affect productivity of the user, so make sure you are comfortably seated in front of your screen with a good chair that has armrests and your keyboard and mouse  easily accessible. There are some varieties in the kinds of keyboards and mice which are available and it is important to consider all of them and pick which is the best for you.

So what are your possible alternatives? Let’s start with the mouse first. The mouse is easily the most human part of the computer because it is so instinctive. If your mouse settings tailor your needs then you will be able to effortlessly navigate on your PC. The standard mouse has two buttons and one scroll wheel. These mice sense movement by physical position(ball mouse) or by LED (optical mouse)
and this mode of sensing is called tracking.

Standard mice are adequate for all computer users but if you want that extra bit of performance you need to get a gaming mouse. The best gaming mice have more than two buttons; a scroll wheel which moves along the X and Y axis, weight tuning and the tracking mechanism is usually laser. These beauties can change settings on-the-fly, so you don’t have to minimize your heavy application in order to constantly change mouse settings for each task. These mice are superb for gaming and they can adapt to multiple scenarios for the player on-the-fly but they are also good for designing and on large monitors. The laser mice are extremely precise and work very well on a huge array of surfaces. The additional buttons are great to save extra functions and macros for instantaneous use. Remember a good mouse can take you a long way.

The keyboard is the interpreter between the human world and the computer world. There are so many
kinds of keyboards out there now that trying them all out will take forever! Thankfully, we will just stick to the more basic options which are easily available. We all know how a keyboard is laid out and how we have to go about using it and we even know about repetitive stress injuries but have we ever tried to use a different keyboard? You can try a basic gaming keyboard or perhaps an ergonomic keyboard. Gaming keyboards have a great deal of extremely simple functions that have immediate benefits.

Some of these are backlit keys, programmable buttons, media center controls and so on. The keys themselves are far more responsive and the tactility really does feel so much better than a regular keyboard. Ergonomic keyboards are designed in such a manner that they are more comfortable to type over long stretches of time. These keyboards have keys, which are split into groups and the keyboard shape keeps groups of keys for each hand to type easily. Certain keyboards have positional flexibility
which means that they can be adjusted to fit your needs. Not only does this keep your wrists and other body parts free from damage but your typing posture improves a lot and your typing will get better in the long run.
