Your Nokia battery is not going to blow up.

Getting a Replacement This is how you find out if you have a battery with this glitch. You may have already read the previous article that explains how, but just to reiterate here you go - All you need to do is remove the battery from its case. The first thing you will notice is the 3D Nokia sticker that usually depicts that the battery is an original. You’ll also notice the number BL-5C very clearly. Simply flip the battery over and you’ll notice a set of 26 digits at the bottom of the battery. That code determines whether or not your battery is part of the unfortunate bunch. You can also check and see if your battery is part of the list by simply checking out this link www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement and entering the same details at teh bottom of the page. Obviously you’re going to want a new one so here’s the procedure. First off, you’re going to need to call this number – 011 30 30 38 38. That’s not too hard to remember. The good thing is you’ll have operators available in 10 different languages. Secondly you’re going to have to give those guys the 26 digit code I mentioned earlier located at the bottom of your battery. What the guys on the other end will do is run a reference check and take your details, like your cell number, residence address and Nokia will courier a new battery to you and pick up your old one. All at their expense. While the company says that all faulty batteries would be replaced free of cost to consumers, the Nokia dealers in Mumbai are not aware of the issue. While Nokia claims to have educated all its dealers about this particular battery problem, most of the resellers dealing in Nokia are denying any complaints issued by customers. You can read more about this issue on our IT Channels site. So I don’t have to tell you that the lines will be tied up a lot for the next couple of days but my free advice to all our readers out there is to simply be patient. The same goes for the website being just a bit slow. The Bottom Line Folks I’ll keep this really simple – Your Nokia battery WILL NOT GO BOOM! It will get hot, but that’s something I’m sure most of you have noticed about any mobile phone or for that matter any electronic product that requires charging. The Battery will get hot, it’s just how it is. Simple physics. So don’t worry. Just call Nokia and get your replacement. It’s a phone call away.
