Bloomberg|UTV EXCLUSIVE, Mr Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries Ltd to soft-launch Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Services in Northern Region of India, on October 31st 2011, on day of Laabh Paancham, considered to be an auspicious day as per the Gujarati Business Community. Services will be launched mainly at NCR, Part of Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Chandigarh, to provide WiMAX and IPTV services on 4G Platform to be used on Handheld Devices and Tablet PCs. "Creating Magical Digital Experience ..." will be the tagline for the teaser ad campaign to go on hoardings and kiosks as part of soft-launch and the final launch of same across 22 circles is expected to be announced on 28th December 2011, Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. After RIL announcing acquisition on June 2010 of acquiring Infotel Broadband Service Pvt Ltd, company which has license to roll-out 4G services across 22 circles in nation, company (RIL) launches BWA services in just 18 months. Back-ground : Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) had announced in June 2010, that it had entered into agreement ot acquire substantial stake in Infotel Broadband Services Private Ltd, which has emerged as a successful bidder in all 22 circles of the action for Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Spectrum conducted by the Department of Telecom. RIL had invested Rs.4,800 crores by way of subscription to fresh equity capital at par to be issued by Infotel Broadband Services Private Ltd. After announcement of this investment, RIL owns 95% of the equity and Infotel Broadband Services Private Ltd is a subsidiary of RIL. Rancore Technologies is a technology partner of RIL and has a full-fledged long-term service and technology contract to rollout BWA services on pan-India basis.
