Razer Abyssus vs Orochi, mini-review for Mac OSX and Starcraft 2 insight MBP 15"
The Razer Abyssus on Mac OSX for Starcraft 2 gaming I use it on a Kabuto cloth mouse pad with no jittering. I also compare the Abyssus to the Razer Orochi. 125hz @ 1800dpi on 1080P screen and hi-res MBP 1680x1050 Pros and cons listed below and at the end of the video. ----- Pros Truly Plug n Play -- no drivers needed in OSX Polling rate (125Hz/1000Hz) and DPI (450dpi/ 1800dpi/3500dpi) available via hardware switches on mouse bottom, changes instantly Lightweight mouse 68 grams (less fatigue, sounds silly but so true) Basic mouse, no frills. Get in and APM up! Razer's amazing click wheel scroll feeling. Best in the business Cons non-braided mouse cord (sorry I've been spoiled by Razer Fairly high lift off distance (LoD) much more noticeable than Orochi's 500Hz polling rate option would have been nice Glossy sides collect dirt and grime easily Did not insta-put me into Masters league =( Personal preference Option to turn on/off blue razer LED Good sensor, however did not track as well on table top. Will have to test hard plastic SS4HD mouse pad; perfect on cloth 'Kabuto' 3 smaller teflon feet GG
