V/line "Sprinter" railcars operating on the Stony Point line (Victoria)

Two V/line diesel powered "Sprinter" railcars (numbers 7015 & 7010) have just passed through Tyabb on their way to Stony Point. Although the railcars are owned by V/line they are currently leased to "Metro Trains Melbourne" as this train line is considered part of the suburban railway network. The V/line "Sprinter" diesel railcars were Introduced into service between 1993 and 1995 and are currently used on short to medium distance commuter passenger trains. The Sprinters have an operating speed of up to 130km/h and can operate as a single carriage or as multiple units with other Sprinters.
