**UPDATE**
Wrapping the wires did not provide any benefit, but it did cause a problem.
There is virtually no space between the battery and the back side. If you "wrap" the wires, it will cause distortion in the screen when holding/pressing the tablet from the back.
I suggest merely replacing the masking tape overlay with the electric tape. Put the wires in the grove down the middle of the battery.
