Hello everyone and welcome back to Clevver Games, I'm your host Andrea Rene with some interesting reports about the hottest tablet around, the iPad. Apple launched iPad 2 last year and it is expected that iPad 3 will be on the way soon, in fact, it could be as soon as March. . According to DigiTimes, industry sources in Taiwan has said that iPad 3 will ship in March with a full HD display. iPad 3 will reportedly have a QXGA display and longer battery life. Apple will supposedly use the launch of iPad 3 to cut prices of iPad 2 down to $399. . According to DigitTimes sources, Apple is positioning themselves for a March launch because lowering the price and having a new product hit the market will offset the competition from other tablet makers like Sony, Samsung, and Motorola. . Google is also reportedly going to launch their own tablet PC in April to be competition for Amazon's Kindle Fire in the entry level sector. But competition with other vendors aside, Apple will be competing with itself if they also launch iPad 4 in October! Yep, that's the word on the street, at least from the same Taiwanese vendors. . According to their sources, iPad 4 will be 9.7 inches and will have upgraded hardware and integrated applications so it will compete with other 4th quarter releases on the Android and Wintel based tablet PCs. . Clearly mobile gaming has become a huge portion of the market in the last few years and with blockbuster releases like Infinity Blade and Angry Birds, the competition is only getting fiercer. Clearly there will be an iPad 3 sometime this year, but when that is happening is still yet to be confirmed. . What do you guys think? Could iPad 3 really be coming in March?
