Mobile Security -- What You Need to Know
Consumers know that security can be a concern on their desktop, but what many don't realize is that security can also be a concern on mobile devices. Scary, right? A lot of consumers treat their mobile device just as they would their home computer, which often means that they access confidential information, such as their finances.
To make matters even worse, Kevin Mahaffey, the CTO and co-founder of Lookout Mobile Security, told us that attacks would increase as more devices are added to the market. Fortunately, there are safeguards that users can take to protect against this harmful activity.
By being smart about where you click and download from, and also by embracing technologies such as Lookout's Safe Browsing, consumers are less likely to get scammed.
