Panasonic ELUGA waterproof smartphone hands-on
MobileBurn.com - Panasonic was displaying its new ELUGA line of waterproof smartphones for the European and North American markets at Mobile World Congress this year. The smaller ELUGA boasts a 4.3-inch, qHD (540 x 960 pixel) OLED display, a dual-core 1GHz processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Panasonic's custom user interface. It is extremely thin and also packs support for NFC payment systems. Panasonic says the ELUGA is IP57 rated for water and dustproofing, and it expects to launch it in Europe in April of this year, with a North American launch slated for June or July.
