Tutorial - Samsung Infuse 4G back to stock Froyo 2.2.1 (I997UCKD5+Root+3e)
As promised earlier in my previous tute where I have shown how to upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.5 from Froyo 2.2.1, this video is all about going back to stock. This video shows the steps to take the Samsung SGH I997 Infuse 4G back to Stock on Android Froyo 2.2.1 using (I997UCKD5 Stock Rom) from Gingerbread 2.3.5 (I997UCKI4). Remember the Stock rom is pre-rooted and you also get back the 3e Recovery mode. Please refer to the main thread on xda-developers to find out more - http //forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092021 All credit goes to xda forums who have helped me create this tute. You can also read more about this on my blog - http //www.punnyabrataonline.info Points to be Noted before you start - I have like always backed up my phone software, contacts & messages onto my PC using http //www.wondershare.com/android-manager/. The light version is free and works pretty good for my needs. I do not use any external SD card with phone but in any-case if you are using one please do the necessary backups onto your external SD card and remove it from the phone before you begin. Usually the phone reboots back to the Home-screen at the end of the process but rarely as in this case where there are too many apps installed the phone got stuck at "Rethink Possible" screen and I had to go back to 3e Recovery mode and select the option "Delete All User Data" before rebooting the phone once again. This time it quickly got back to the Home-screen. Remember this is a DOWNGRADE (back to stock) & not UPGRADE. Warning - Please be advised that I'm in no way to be held responsible if the entire procedure shown in this video bricks your phone or damages your phone in anyway including loss of data. Please proceed at your own risk.
