Web Browsing on SGS2 & HD2
Credit goes to Pui See =)
Just got a chance to play with Samsung Galaxy S 2, it is really full of fun and surprising! By the way, I'm using this 2-years-old device HTC HD2. So, I decided to make a short comparison between web browsing on both devices using the Android built-in browser.
* HTC HD2 is faster because it doesn't load flash, but Samsung Galaxy S2 does.
Samsung Galaxy S2 is on Gingerbread 2.3.3, HTC HD2 is on Gingerbread 2.3.4.
Overall, after trying some websites, I found that my HD2 loads faster, and it really surprises me, as it is a two-years-old device and only have 1GHz processor, fewer RAM as well. But actually, my HD2 doesn't support flash, I guess that's why it loads faster. Scrolling and pinch-to-zoom on SGS2 is much fluid and faster. Visible lag on my HD2 while zooming and scrolling =(
The other difference is the colour rendering, SGS2's Super AMOLED Plus, of course, is more attractive and produce more vibrant display! Great! Same screen size 4.3" by the way.
p/s: In this video I'm testing on MobileBurn desktop site, which is quite rich of graphic and text.
Recorded using Sony Ericsson Satio, WVGA at 23fps.
