HTC Playstation Certified Device Leaked, Assassin's Creed 3 Release Date & More

Today on NewsCast (February 16, 2012 Edition): During an earnings call today, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin's Creed III will be released in October.

According to CEO Yves Guillemot, the game will hit stores on October 30th. Guillemot revealed that the game has been in development for three years and that "what we have seen is just fabulous."

Previously, Ubisoft teased that a major Assassin's Creed title would come this year, but this is the first outright confirmation that it's AC III. The game is said to complete the story of Desmond.

While no platforms have been announced, recent Assassin's Creed games have hit Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game is likely headed to Wii U as well, since an Assassin's Creed game was announced for Nintendo's new system during E3. - IGN (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1218767p1.html) LG's got a leak and it's revealing some intriguing details on another flagship smartphone -- even backing them up with some screenshots. According to MoDaCo's mole, it will brandish a 4.7 inch (720 x 1280) display, powered by LG's first Tegra 3 quad-core setup. Processor speeds for the LG X3 are pegged at around 1.5GHz on a single core, dropping to 1.4GHz during multi-core use. Hopefully, the 2,000mAh battery will withstand all that thinking power, while Ice Cream Sandwich should help push those multitasking chops to its limit. Camera-wise, you can expect an increasingly standard eight-megapxiel sensor, with a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. There also appears to be some NFC hardware inside, identified by that circular logo at the top of these tantalizing screengrabs -- something we saw on LG's Prada phone 3.0. - Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/15/lg-tegra-3-phone-specification-leak-tegra3-quadcore/) A source has told the publication that HTC will be the first companies, outside of Sony Ericsson, to get PlayStation certification for its mobile devices. While Pocket-Lint has clearly deemed the source credible enough to write-up a story regarding this, as HTC has stated that they can't "comment on rumors and speculation". Nevertheless, the idea of PlayStation certification being available for other platforms was announced at the Japanese launch of the PS Vita last year. In fact, Kaz Hirai, then Sony Computer Entertainment CEO and soon to be president and CEO of Sony Corporation, said "It expands the PlayStation experience beyond the PSP border. It is the first cross-platform endeavor." So what does this mean for gamers everywhere? Well if HTC does in fact get PlayStation certification for its devices, it means that HTC tablet and phone owners will be able to play PlayStation certified products, such as PSOne classics, on their devices. - Playstation Lifestyle (http://playstationlifestyle.net/2012/02/14/rumor-playstation-certified-htc-devices-coming-in-2012/) Subscribe to PlayInfinite at http //www.youtube.com/subscription center?add user=playinfinite Follow PlayInfinite @ajune24 on Twitter https //twitter.com/Ajune24 Check us out on Google+: https //plus.google.com/102001775659274627704 Also be sure to check out our channel http //www.youtube.com/playinfinite NeXtPlay Gaming Video Series Now Live!: http //youtu.be/6RY0T MYzR0 If you haven't already, check out our iPod Touch 4th Generation Boot-up/Tour Video http //www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6AodS-QTNE Also check out the, iPod Touch 4th Generation Unboxing and Hardware Tour Video http //www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aw-alS1N6JI Also check out the, Macbook Pro 13 in.
